BE HERE NOW. Magdas Hotel, Vienna, Austria, 2019. This yarn mural was created for the Magdas Hotel, a non-profit that trains and employs refugees and homeless people.
"Between earth and sky, between past and future, the fleeting present encompasses the only space where we truly exist. And with each passing moment, now becomes past and future steps in to be the new now - bringing with it yet another opportunity to grow, to evolve, to be. This piece is dedicated to the Magdas employees gathered here from different roots and backgrounds to find a new present for themselves."
MIND THE HEART!, established in 2009, is a worldwide art project that deals with social awareness. Over the past decade, the project has reached more than 100 cities across 5 continents: from New York to Bangkok, Sydney to London, from the Israel National Museum and the National Cathedral in D.C. to orphanages in Kenya and Uganda.
